Fluxus of the World - 4 min - looping (2023)

Inhale, exhale, let your gaze wander through different instances and nature's temperament. As a continuous flow, without beginning or end, the images hypnotize by the subtlety of their movement.

The installation invites the viewer to another way of experiencing the landscape. The projected sea has no location and can be any sea. The breaking of waves indicates time slightly displaced from its common logic. In the center of the video, we see a tree trunk, which seems to witness the fragile and delicate changes. The displacement of the air that moves the leaves is the same that influences the tides.

On television monitors, we observe different foliage that join each other, like a river, or communicating vessels that integrate a larger organism. They are in the process of photosynthesis and bring calm to the most anxious looks. There is in the images something close to breathing, which seems to be imperceptible, but so necessary for the maintenance of life.

The artist makes use of the technique of cinemagraphy, creating movement from static images. Like many artists of his generation, the cell phone is the instrument for observing the world, it is where the record is made, and it is also on the same device that the editing takes place. Diego Ramos points out that it is in the sensibility of the gaze that the creative power resides, in which everyday life gains other meanings that can be taken into account.
